The Skally Line Performance In-Person

The Kitchigami Regional Library System is delighted to present the Skally Line Regional Spring Tour. Named after the old rail line connecting Duluth with the Twin Cities, the Skally Line steams its way around the curves and bends of early American music: Stringband blues, Appalachian ballads, fiddle tunes, early country and bluegrass, and Tin Pan Alley music. Along the way, they tell forgotten stories about old Minnesota, play original music rooted in that history, and have a rip-roaring good time. Musicians Fred Keller and Bill Cagley are a band dedicated to creating an experience through old-time music and song with a focus on Minnesota history and story. Join us at the Brainerd Public Library on Wednesday, May 15th from 12 PM – 1 PM for a great show with music, storytelling, history, and a whole lot of fun.

This free Legacy Program is funded in part or in whole with money from the vote of the people of Minnesota on November 4, 2008 which dedicated funding to preserve Minnesota’s arts and cultural heritage.
