Kids Writing Workshop: Writing Believable Characters in Fiction In-Person
Explore the connection between internal and external characteristics in a good protagonist. Every believable character has a Question they're asking, and a Lie they believe as they traverse their arc—discuss the implications of this a storyteller. Develop and create a flawed character and then allow that character opportunity for growth——on the page, and in the mind of the reader. Work through a character development exercise that will allow participants to build a plot-line for their story from character-driven motivations. For ages 7 to 12.
