Indie Writing Workshop: Author Platform - Be Ready to Engage In-Person

In this session, Andrews will introduce writers to the author platform, website, and newsletter, and how to go about creating a social media presence—even if you haven’t finished your novel. She will also give plenty of ideas for expanding your reach in local media and the writing community.

Have you thought about independently publishing your writing? Do you have a great idea but are bogged down in questions about self-publishing your book? The sites to you should use to publish? Or where to even get started? The Brainerd Public Library is hosting a series of six workshops led by local indie author Carissa Andrews to help you out. These free classes are for teens and adults at all stages of writing their novel or creative nonfiction work. Writers may attend one or all sessions.
